Recently, she made her directorial debut with Nicole C. Mullen in the short THE GOD THAT SEES. They co-wrote all the music for the movie. Gifford provides support to a variety of organizations for children, like Childhelp. She is also a member of The Association to Benefit Children, that was the source of Cassidy's Place. Marymount University awarded her honorary degrees for humanitarian work she carried out in labor relations.
